Saying hello

Post by Hoags on Fri Jul 10, 2009 1:24 pm

Thought I'd say hello cool)

Been a Sens fan ever since we got a team again in Ottawa.

For some reason I never felt compelled to talk hockey on a forum until the Heatley drama erupted. This place seems like the greatest forum Rockon

Now I just need a cool avatar and sig .....

welcome to the fray, glad to have you here and hope you enjoy posting here, we will enjoy having you here for sure. Go Sens go, what are your thoughts on AK27 joining the fray after we have lambasted him for the greater part of the last 5 years with the Habs?

I think my first foray into the hockey forum sphere was during the Chara v. Redden debate.

Welcome. Smile

Welcome aboard. An avatar is a must, but sigs are over-rated, especially if you've got a spelling mistake (like SpezDispenser's). Sure, he can claim he did a straight copy/paste from The 6th Sens, but I'm not buying it.

As for your avatar, how about something related to this:

Welcome aboard. May I ask how you found us? Also is your nickname Astronimical in nature or is that just a coincidence?

Perhaps a team Lead by Heatley should be Led? I dunno.

Pragues? What's the spelling error?

"Lead" is the present-tense form of the word; it should be "led". Yes, the heave metal is pronounced the same as "led" but spelled "lead" but that's just English for you.

Edit: Took too long typing this; see you found it yourself.

That's the thing about sigs.

I used to change mine (for e-mail) about every month or so, until I got one that was a quote from Jerry Maguire, and that one lasted many, many years. It was one of Dicky Fox's sayings which closed-out the movie:

Hey, I don't have all the answers. In life, to be honest, I've failed as
much as I have succeeded. But I love my wife. I love my life. And I
wish you my kind of success.
