After two straight losses the Flames aren't ready to panic but they did do some line juggling and they have inserted Varlomov in nets for the next game. They have also decided on line combos, PK and PP units for the upcoming games in hopes to spark some more offense.

The Flames are looking to move out 2 of their 4th line and Healthy Scratches in order to further bolster their prospect cupboard and draft pick collection.

It is unfortunate that we had to say goodbye to our beloved Captain Jarome Iginla but, I knew when I looked him in the eye that it was the right thing to do. This trade has set up the future of this franchise for years to come. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Kris Russel to our team along with Jason Blake, who is having a fantastic start to the season with excellent point totals. Along with these two players the Flames have acquired a CBJ 1st rounder in 2010 and a TOR 1st rounder in 2011.

In Jason Blake's first game as a Flame he scored the game winner and added an assist. We are pleased to hear that Iginla hates the Leafs too and has been traded yet again.

Also, since awarding Varlomov the starters job in net he came in and put up impressive numbers vs. the Canucks in the last game.

After going on a 6 game slide, waving goodbye to our Captain, and awarding Varlomov the Starting job, the Flames are on an impressive 3 game winning streak. This is thanks, in large part, to the two game winning goals scored by our newest member of the team: Jason Blake. He is also on a 5 game point streak. Varlomov's record has improved to 6-1-0 with his only loss coming to the Western Conference leading Minnesota Wild.

In a shocking and bizarre turn of events. Brian Burke has left the Leafs in order to join the Flames farm team as Head coach.

I don't think ol' Burkie has coached a day in his life. You might be better off hiring a peewee or bantam level coach. he'll have had more experience.
