Vick "close" to signing with a new team

Post by shabbs on Fri Jul 31, 2009 7:58 am

Word 'round the net is he's close to signing with a team...

The team has not been named yet... but I've heard the Detroit Lions mentioned several times.

We'll find out soon enough I guess.

I say Denver or Raiders or Houston.

Minny with an outside chance.

Lions seems strange after drafting and giving all that $$ to Stafford.

Bills. We know he's got a fan in T.O. and that combo would be the greatest QB/RB combo in Buffalo since Kelly/Thurman.

The felon and the freakshow would make a formidable tandem.

I'm curious to see how long it takes for him to actually be effective. Two years in the clink can't be good for your game. Avoiding the bathroom gang rape would certainly keep his ability to run sharp though. Wink

Id say he wont be a starter but give him this year maybe and im confident next year he could be a effective payer... Not what he was in Atlanta not yet anyways but im sure he could become a very solid QB in the NFL again... He needs to be around the game again...

1 year of backing up... The practice etc.... That's all he probably needs... He migth get rushed and that could hurt him.

No way, he'll be a starter... The guy is (was) one of the most talented QB's in the league... Sure he'll be rusty but by his 3rd or 4th game he'll be back...

He will be suspended for the first 4 games before he even get's a snap... Im guessing if the team he plays for falls out he will start getting some playing time.
