Plaxico goes before the grand jury on firearm charges

Plaxico Burress went before the grand jury yesterday to testify in the shooting incident where he shot himself at a bar with his own gun.

The Giants are my team and man, I'm gonna miss this guy despite all his issues. Yeah, he had his problems but holy hell did he deliver when it was on the line. Guys like him (TO for example) are pains in the Donkey and total distractions, and it's always a fine line between helping or hurting the team.

They sure missed him the year after they won the Super Bowl...

Plaxico was indicted by the Grand Jury...

Another one bites the dust... I still find it kind of crazy that he does 2 years when Donte Stallworth got 30 days for killing someone... I guess he didnt have a weapon.

He won't do the full 2 years... but yeah, pretty crazy differences. The Stallworth situation is unique to Florida DUI manslaughter rules - have they ruled on that yet though?

Yeh he did 30 days and now he's on 2 or 5 year probabtion I believe... I would have to look it up but I know he has no more jail time.

Crazy. So, Burress shoots himself in the leg, no other victims and he'll do more time than both Stallworth and Vick added up together!

What is going on with the US justice system?

I got this on Wikipedia... Stallworth served 24 days in jail, 1000 hours of community service, 2 years of house arrest, 8 years probation and his liscence is suspended for life in Florida!
