Joe Mauer is something special

As we get later into the baseball season, usually guys will tail off a little. Someone hitting .350 will find themselves around .320 now.

But Joe Mauer is still hitting .380. .380....20 percentage points away from .400. Now the likelihood of him hitting .400 is low, but imagine, if you will, how dominant a performance this is.

As of now he's 20 percentage points higher than the Hall of Famer (to be) Ichiro.

Ridiculous. A tip of the hat is required.

Was placed on waivers (which is common in MLB - not like the NHL), White Sox claimed him and the Jays let him walk for nothing.

This team is truly messed up. Rios' contract wasn't that bad and he was playing OK... he was not a candidate for being let go for nothing...
What are the Jays doing?

I know all star games are just a bunch of hoopla that garners little or no attention, but the home run derby sometimes can be different, specifically when you hear that a guy like Prince Fielder hits the ball a reported 503 ft (estimated). I am not certain what the longest is, but I am pretty impressed by anyone that can crush a ball over 500 ft.
