Re: Eminger signs for 2 years
That's a LOT of money and term for a guy who got tossed around like he did all last year -- I think he's been part of, what, 4 different teams in the last 14 months or so (PHI, TBL FLA, now ANA)?
I like the player, I guess, but I don't fully understand why you have to pay him more than the league minimum at this point, let along more than $1 mil on a multi-year contract.
Doubly strange when you consider how many D ANA now has, and how good of a job Murray has been doing at cleaning up the huuuge mess Burke left behind.

According to CapGeek: $1.125 mil per year / 2 year deal.

Yeah, I love this team's future. Hiller in nets, Niedermayer mentoring kids like Whitney, Gardiner, Mikkelson and Sbisa, and Getzlaf, Perry, Ryan, Lupul and Holland up front.

Re: Eminger signs for 2 years
I think 2 years at 1.125 is actually a pretty good deal. I think he's a better defenseman than his trade history suggests.

Nice signing for them. Plus they still have tons of cap space, even more if they find a suitor for Giguere if they decide that Hiller is the real deal in nets.
